Conceived and created by the artist as a gift of recognition, utilizing only scrap pieces of wood from his studio workshop to fabricate this item so as to present this item as a token of gratitude to an individual who has consistently demonstrated over so many years more than any others their excellence in supporting and honoring both the artists work and his prior service to his nation. This carving features in high relief a scaled up version of the artist’s former Lion of Saint Mark Southern European Task Force Army airborne unit patch with a coin holder that holds up to 18 coins.
