"Thor's Hammer"

Inspired from an exquisite silver amulet from 10th century Sweden, represents the hammer of Thor, son of the cheif god, Oden, admired for his great strength. Thor combated evil, using his mighty hammer to do so. Thor was also the god of lightning, war and wind. The artist was struck by the detail inscribed, of what appears to be swirling winds, representing a great storm in the design.

Carved of redwood burl slab, measuring 16" X 12" 1/2 and 2" depth. It is perfect as a wall hanging or as a sculpture that can set onto a plate stand as a table display. *Sold*
